InfoShare with ERes: fast, free, files
online
WHAT IS IT?
- It's an exciting new way of sharing files among faculty, staff,
colleagues, and researchers using our current ERes system.
- It allows you to manage all those files you typically get when working in
collaborative groups, i.e., anything where document or image sharing is a
must.
- It's great for committee work, journal clubs, case conferences,
resident
report, clerkships, grant work, peer working groups, etc.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Infoshare -
- Lets you create and manage folders of your selected readings or images,
including journal articles, reports, lecture notes, joint writings, e-photos.
- Lets you create and import documents, post messages, link to web sites.
- Can convert your documents to pdf using our fax to pdf module.
- Can accept most document formats (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Jpeg).
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
- Have an UW NetID.
- set up an account with Health Sciences Library Reserves Staff.
- get a URL and brief personal orientation about managing your account.
- plan and start your own site including setting up password protection if
needed.

instructions with more details are available.
