SiteBuilder Instructions
- Go to http://www.il.proquest.com/cookiecutter
- Click the black rectangle that says "Click here to reset your browser"
- Close your browser
- Reopen your browser
- Go to http://www.il.proquest.com/proquest
- Click on the Connect to Proquest in the middle of the page.
- Log in using your SiteBuilder user name and password. If you don't have
one, you can request one from Anita Lorene Smith (lorene@u).
Note: Anita just retired and I'm not sure who is taking over her duties.
- The Reserves Department User Name is 009MPTCWT3 (those are zeros and
it's not case sensitive). The password is the same as the reserves voice
mail password.
- Do a search.
- Click on the text+graphics icon.
- Click on the Save Link button at the top of the screen.
- Click on the Results button and select Marked Records and Durable
Links.
- You can copy the url for this link by right-clicking on the article title
and choosing Copy Shortcut.
- Then you can paste this link into your application.
- If you'd prefer to link to the pdf of the article, click on the Modify
Link button and use the pulldown menu near the bottom of the screen to
select page image.
- Then click on the UPDATE button in the upper right hand corner.
NOTE: You can also log into SiteBuilder after you've done a search. However,
links marked/created before you logged in are not durable.
NOTE: 3 failed login attempts lock you out of ProQuest SiteBuilder.
When you're locked out, it also locks all of the links you've created. If this
happens, contact Anita Smith on upper campus. Her email is lorene@u.washington.edu
and her phone number is 543-8721. If she's not available, you can contact Tech
Support at Bell and Howell directly. Their phone number is 1-800-521-0600. Anita
usually talks to Shaun Mavracic at extension 2732.
NOTE: SiteBuilder urls are too long to use in ERes. You need to create an html
document on the fly which includes a ProQuest link.
