Our mission

Continuing Education Grants From State Library

Employees of libraries in Washington state are eligible for continuing education grants from the WA State Library. Types of continuing education events supported for individual grant applicants are:


*attendance at workshops
*attendance at conferences, symposiums, forums
*attendance at individual community college or university classes
*distance education program classes.


The types of events that are not supported are reimbursement for degree attainment and attendance as conferences as a presenter.

Funds are awarded with a minimum 25 percent matching requirement so that grant funding will not exceed three quarters of the total cost. The maximum grant for an individual is $1000.00. Funds are awarded on a reimbursement basis.
